Hourly Teacher - French as a Second Language – Intermediate level I

The College is seeking an hourly paid professor to join a dynamic team to teach an ON-SITE non-credited course within Continuing Education in the Fall of 2025.
999-002-10 French as a Second Language Intermediate Level 1 – 30 hours - Offered onsite at the main campus located at 325 Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau, QC, Canada J8Y 6T3.
This 30-hour intermediate conversation course builds on the language skills acquired at beginner level. Students will broaden their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary for everyday interactions and learn the language skills needed for a wider range of contexts. Students will be guided through a thematic program that introduces them to a variety of common and useful language points, which they will practice through fun, interactive activities that focus on listening and speaking skills.

Holidays (no classes): October 13th, 2025
End date: November 3rd, 2025
Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

- A combination of relevant diplomas or certifications in a related field, and a combination of industry experience related to the courses being taught.
- A bachelor’s degree is not required but would be considered an asset.
- Experience teaching adult learners would also be considered an asset.
- Create a dynamic, challenging, and motivated learning environment.
- Adapt to a variety of needs and provide appropriate online support.
- Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter through academic or non-academic experiences.
- Apply theoretical concepts to current workplace needs and skill requirements.
- Must be flexible as required.
- Must be willing to work collaboratively within Continuing Education.
$50.00 per hour
